Each 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) of Robitussin Maximum Strength Cough Suppressant contains:
Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, USP ............... 15 mg
Each 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) of Robitussin Pediatric Cough Suppressant contains:
Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, USP .............. 7.5 mg
Inactive Ingredients (Robitussin Maximum Strength Cough Suppressant): Alcohol 1.4%, Citric Acid, FD&C Red 40, Flavors, Glycerin, Glucose, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Saccharin Sodium, Sodium Benzoate, Water.
Inactive Ingredients (Robitussin Pediatric Cough Suppressant): Citric Acid, FD&C Red 40, Flavors, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Saccharin Sodium, Sodium Benzoate, Sorbitol, Water.
Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with a cold.
: Do not take this product for persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, emphysema, or if cough is accompanied by excessive phlegm (mucus) unless directed by a physician.
A persistent cough may be a sign of a serious condition. If cough persists for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by fever, rash, or persistent headache, consult a physician. Do not take this product if you are hypersensitive to any of its ingredients.
As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product.
KEEP THIS AND ALL DRUGS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. IN CASE OF ACCIDENTAL OVERDOSE, SEEK PROFESSIONAL ASSISTANCE OR CONTACT A POISON CONTROL CENTER IMMEDIATELY.
Drug Interaction Precaution: Do not use this product if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson' disease) or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you are uncertain whether your prescription drug contains an MAOI, consult a health professional before taking this product.
Directions: Follow dosage recommendations below or use as directed by a doctor. Repeat every 6-8 hours as needed. Do not exceed 4 doses in a 24-hour period. Robitussin Maximum Strength Cough Suppressant

ADULT DOSE (and children 12 yrs. and over): 2 teaspoonfuls every 6-8 hours, in medicine cup.
CHILD DOSE (under 12 yrs.): Consult your doctor.
Robitussin Pediatric Cough Suppressant Dosage: choose by weight, if known; if weight is no known, choose by age.
